Oregon here we come!

As usual we don't ever get away when we plan to.  The plan was to leave on Monday morning March 21, 2022 about 10:00 a.m.  Of course that didn't happen. Seems as though there is always one more thing to do in getting the house ready for our renters Isaac and Sammy Keddington.  So by the time we got the house ready and we got our the door it was already 1:00 p.m.   The plan was to drive to Lakeview, Oregon and spend the night there.

Packed to overflowing!!

We arrived at our motel in Lakeview, OR about 9:30 p.m.  We had booked online knowing that it probably was not the nicest, but thought it would be okay.  Pictures were NOTHING like what we got.  We didn't have too many options in Lakeview when we booked and prices went from $85 and then jumped to $150 a night.  Knowing we were getting there and going right to bed we felt like we didn't want to pay the $150.  We got what we paid for! I wish we had taken pictures of the inside of the room.  It was the worst motel room I have ever been in.  It was so bad that I slept in my clothes.  We didn't take a shower the next morning - we just got up and left.  I think the bathroom fixtures were still from 1950, pipes were exposed and the plaster and paint were coming off the walls!  The water coming out of the faucets was brown.  The manager said that all the water in town was like that, but I am not so sure.  He told us after we asked about it and told us we should not to drink it but, there were no signs anywhere about not drinking it.  I didn't brush my teeth!  The shortest motel stay we have ever had!  DO NOT STAY HERE!

Stopped off in Klamath Falls, OR at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery to see my
grandparents, Robert and Vlasta Zumpfe Petrik's gravesite.
This is what you look like when you don't shower!

Then stopped on the other end of Klamath Falls at Klamath Memorial Park
to see my dad's parents gravesite, Blair Justin
(it is spelled incorrectly on the headstone) and Elsie Metzger Wilson.

Coming down the Green Springs with a layer of fog over the valley before entering Ashland.
